Em-Em: Embodiment Exhibit with CSM Art & Science

We are partnering with Central Saint Martin’s MA in Science and Art programme to bring another art and science exhibition. Along with the exhibit, THECUBE will be curating a set of events, which will explore the theme of embodiment.

The Em-Em Collective have already attended some of the Cognitive Academy classes that focus on embodiment, which they will apply to their artist process. The reason we chose to focus on embodiment is because whether we are aware of it or not, art will always be an embodied experience. Very much like anything physical we experience. We feel art, experiencing it through our body, whether it makes us grimace in disgust or makes us smile or makes cock our heads in wonderment, we have a physical, emotional, and cognitive reaction to art; this is the crux of our exploration of embodiment through art.

The exhibit will open 27 April at 7pm.

In the meantime, check out the last event from Jennifer Crouch’s last event pertaining to the Making In Transit Exhibition, 23rd of March 2017 at 7pm.
