NeuroLONDON: Brain

6th December 2016 (7pm)

The brain has been called a computer, machine, black box, and many more. However, it is not any of these, furthermore, we base these metaphors on neuron-to-neuron communication. We have used this since the 1800’s when Ramon Y Cajal came up with the neuronal model. It is time for a change, we need new mental mind frames to reference and imagine the brain. More specifically it is time that we create a metaphor for the both the brain and the central nervous system.

We envision this session to be open and inclusive, in other words people of all types of industry are welcome to attend.

1900 – 2000: A history of brain metaphors // How is the brain currently viewed?

20:00 – 21:30: Mini Hack

We will be asking for a  £5 pounds donation at the door for pizza and drinks!

Please confirm your attendance via the MEETUP page we have running.
