We would like to welcome The Centric Lab to our coworking space. They are bringing neuroscience into the built environment in order to improve the quality of life of people. Part of the roots of the lab lie in THECUBE, where part of the co-founding team were able to observe the intricate relationship between physical space and people’s behaviour. The Centric Lab is in collaboration with UCL and is headed by Dr Hugo Spiers, who is a leading neuroscientist in the field of spatial navigation. His lab at UCL has been researching how the brain navigates spaces and makes choices about getting from A to point B.
THECUBE is excited to host the lab and having our coworking space sprinkled with neuroscientists, who are interested in creating physical environments that improve the quality of life of people from buildings to cities.
THECUBE London is a coworking space in Shoreditch, east London with a focus on science, technology and design. We chose those themes due to the growing collaboration between those three industries, they are becoming increasingly interlinked. We offer monthly events for the general public where we explore those aforementioned topics under the lens of humanities.
